My daughter, Lisa, was also in recovery and sober for three years at the age of seventeen. Sadly, the disease of addiction claimed her life when she turned twenty-one and relapsed. I decided to write this book to honor her memory and, more importantly, to allow readers an insight into this devastating disease. When Lisa was alive and sober, she helped many people.
